So, if you hear a note from family and friends that they will they come to visit, follow these tips below to make your home a guest-ready, any time of the year.

    Beautify The Entrance Space

Start with the entrance of your house. A well-tended front door allows guests to know that you’re looking forward to having a quality time them.

Generally speaking, if the exterior paint is already peeling, now is the time to scrape it and apply new coats for a fresher look. More so, soften the architecture and add color to the pots of plants for a quick improvement.

Further, if you have space for seating on the balcony, make sure it’s cozy and clean. Set also that welcome mat so visitors can wipe their shoes before entering.

    Clear Those Clutters

All houses have that clutter. It’s a daily struggle to keep the harmony between what is coming inside the home and what’s going out. It’s part of modern family living to have excess things, and the battle against clutter is a typical scenario, especially if you’re expecting some guests to come.

Right, unfinished projects, your piles of bills, your breakfast dishes and things that belong in a bedroom closet or bathroom will make your guests feel intruded on a personal situation.

On that note, you have to clear off side tables and counters to make them ready to receive snacks and drinks. Also, take a quick time to put cluttered objects inside garage, closets, or cabinets.

    Keep Things Simple

It’s not an easy task to do when talking about decorating ideas to make your home a guest-ready material.

So if you’re expecting some guests, avoid over-decorating your guest bedroom. You may want it to be welcoming and comfortable but not having too many decorative furniture and stuff leaving guests no space to put their things. You have to make the guest room their home for the length of their stay.

If you only have one guest room, pick twin beds over a queen-size or a double bed so that couples, friends, or children can comfortably occupy the room. Also, consider shared table to serve both beds as a place for personal items or even an alarm clock.

    A Pleasing Scent Matters

Though you believe that your home doesn’t have a scent, it usually does.  The reason why we don’t recognize our home’s scent is that we’re used to the way on how our house smells.

To beat that situation, consider lighting a candle along the sitting area and the doorway, baking a quick batch of cookies, or heating up vanilla extracts in a mug can help create a significant makeover of your home’s scent. Not to mention, if your house smells delightful, then it will seem cleaner than it can be.

    Do a Bathroom Makeover

A well-prepared guest bath means having easy to reach essential supplies. Now, a storage niche placed into the wall should include a space to keep those extra bath supplies.

In addition to that, shower gels, as well as hand and body lotions, are excellent offerings in case your visitors forget to bring their essentials. Lastly, upgrade the shower to have both a hand-shower extension and a rain shower head, then consider adding an assist bar for guest’s safety.
